Santa Tea Latte

This Christmas blend latte is straight from Mrs. Clause and is Santa’s favorite drink to give him a little energy on a long Christmas night but not so much that he can’t go to sleep when he gets done delivering gifts. He likes it because it has all of his favorite Christmas flavors including cranberry, orange, pomegranate, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves made in a warm and frothy steamed milk base. Santa recommends eating it with a cookie and even dunking a crisp cookie into the warm steamed milk. All of Santa’s helpers will appreciate this special Christmas treat to give them a cup of Christmas cheer!

Directions

  1. Bring water to a full boil
  2. Measure the tea to put into an infuser (double the amount of normal tea for a latte to get the strength to cut through the milk. Use 2tsp of the tea Christmas Blend per 8oz. Most American mugs will need 3tsp of tea.)
  3. Once the tea is boiled, heat up the cup or pot by swishing a little hot water in it and pouring it out. For a latte, you will make a tea concentrate, so just fill your mug 1/3 full of water. You will fill it the rest of the way up with steamed milk after you have made your tea concentrate.
  4. Steep the Christmas Blend tea in the mug covered with a saucer for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Heat the milk for 5-6 minutes until it is 140° or when it starts steaming. Use a hand blender, French press, or whisk to froth the milk.
  6. Once your Christmas Blend tea is steeped squish the tea leaves to get the concentrated liquid into your cup.
  7. Optional: add the sweetener of your choice to the tea.
  8. Pour in the steamed milk, and stir well.
  9. Use a spoon to scoop some of the foam on top.
